Description –

The event was chaired by Dr. Md. Mozibur Rahman, CEO, BFTI. Md. Sabur Khan, President, DCCI was present as the special guest. Dr. Md. Abu Yusuf, Senior Fellow, BFTI was the key-note speaker who also summarized the APTIR 2013 for the participants. Ms. Ferdaus Ara Begum, CEO, Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) participated as discussant. The issues for discussion included regional trade connectivity, trade balance, investment promotion, trade-related difficulties emerging from political instability, services perfect id holders trade development to accelerate economic growth, trade costs in agricultural product etc. Major issues discussed in the event were: regional trends and developments in trade and investment, investment and trade facilitation policies and impacts of these policies on countries’ abilities to meet the challenges of achieving inclusive and sustainable development.
