Tapas Chandra Banik
Tapas Chandra Banik, a research associate of the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute, has work experiences on national and international trade policies. He has expertise in trade regulations and policy-related research works, training and policy advocacy on National Export and, Import Policies,Industrial policy, 7th Fifth Year Plan, Budget Preparation, Textile Policyand many others.
Mr. Banik successfully obtained his Bachelors and Masters in Economics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Before joining BFTI, Mr. Banik has worked as a Deputy Secretary (Research & Development), Assistant Secretary (Research and Development) and Jr. Research Executive at the BKMEA.
Mr. Banik conducted sessions in various training programmes on the issues of Market Analysis & Export Promotions. He has participated in several training programmes on International Trade, Trade Facilitation Agreement, Market Access, DTIS etc. His area ofresearch interest areInternational Trade and Development, Trade in Services, International Trade Policy and Regional Economic Cooperations.
