BFTI initiated collaboration with World Trade Organization (WTO)

Dr. Md. Jafar Uddin, the Chief Executive Officer of BFTI, attended a meeting with the World Trade Organization (WTO) on 26 June 2023 at the WTO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.  Mr. Werner Zdouc, Director, Divison for Knowledge and Information Management, Academic outreach and WTO Chair’s Program (KMD) was present at the meeting. Mr. Md Obaidul Azam, Director, BFTI, Dr. Md. Al Amin Pramanik, Economic Minister, Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the UN in Geneva and Mr. Farhan Mashuk, Research Associate (Planning, Development and Tourism), BFTI accompanied CEO, BFTI in the meeting. The potential areas of collaboration between BFTI and WTO were discussed in the meeting. Director, WTO agreed on principles to provide training and other technical support to BFTI.
