Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Training Program on Rules and Procedures for Import and Export held

The certificate awarding ceremony of the 3-day-long training program titled ‘Rules and Procedures for Import and Export’ organized by Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) was held on 12 December 2024 at the BFTI's Academic Block, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka.

Selim Uddin, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Mohammad Navid Safiullah, CEO (Additional Charge), BFTI and Director General (Additional Secretary), Trade Organization (DTO) Wing, Ministry of Commerce, Ms. Alif Rudaba, Member (Additional Secretary), National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) and Mr. Md. Munir Chowdhury, National Trade Expert, Bangladesh Regional Connectivity Project-1, Ministry of Commerce at the event

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Md. Selim Uddin, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce highlighted the significance of international trade in Bangladesh's unyielding economic growth. He hoped that training regarding this topic could be instrumental in developing skilled and experienced human resources in the field of international trade. 

In his speech, Mr. Mohammad Navid Safiullah, CEO, BFTI stated that this training had enlightened the participants with a better understanding of sector-specific import-export procedures, customs clearance and banking provisions for the shipment of consignments. He hoped that this training would help participants manage international trade processes efficiently and reduce the cost of doing business.

The 3-day-long training program concluded with a certificate awarding session. Mr. Md. Selim Uddin, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Mr. Mohammad Navid Safiullah, CEO, BFTI awarded certificates to 41 participants from both the public and private sectors for completing the training program.
