Country Profile of Japan 2025

Bangladesh has undertaken several Free Trade Agreement (FTA) initiatives with the objective of expanding market access, promoting regional integration, and strengthening economic cooperation. Successful FTA negotiations require extensive regulatory, economic, and trade-related data, along with in-depth analysis of the prospective partner countries. In this context, Bangladesh has already concluded the 7^th round of negotiations with Japan. To support these efforts, the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) has developed Country Profiles of negotiating partners. These profiles are intended to provide the negotiation team and private sector stakeholders with relevant economic and trade information. Specifically, the Country Profile 2025 on Japan has been prepared by BFTI as a reference resource to assist both public and private sector officials in formulating policy decisions, undertaking business initiatives, and advancing negotiation strategies.
