Opening Ceremony of the Training Program on ‘Capacity Building Training on ‘Trade and WTO Agreements - A Basic Course for Trade Officials’

The opening ceremony of the training program titled ‘Capacity Building Training on ‘Trade and WTO Agreements - A Basic Course for Trade Officials’ organized by Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) was held on 13 May 2025 at the Conference Room of BFTI, TCB Bhaban, 1, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka-1215. The training program was initiated by Bangladesh Regional Connectivity Project-1 (BRCP-1), Ministry of Commerce. This 3-day-long training program will continue from 13 to 15 May 2025. 

Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, People's Republic of Bangladesh, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Mr. Md. Abdur Razzak (Additional Secretary), CEO (Additional Charge), BFTI was present a Special Guest. Ms. Shaila Yasmin, Project Director (Joint Secretary) (Additional Charge), Bangladesh Regional Connectivity Project-1 (BRCP-1), Ministry of Commerce chaired the event. Mr. Md. Munir Chowdhury National Trade Expert, BRCP-1, Ministry of Commerce moderated the event.

A total of 24 participants from Bangladesh Bank, Ministry of Commerce (MoC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Ministry of Industries, National Board of Revenue (NBR), Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, , Bangladesh Land Port Authority (BLPA), Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission (BTTC), Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), and BFTI attended the training program.
