Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) has organised a 3-day long Recognition of Prior
Learning (RPL) training programme on Supply Chain Management (BNQF LEVEL-4) at
the BFTI Academic Block, TCB Bhaban, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. The objective of the
course is to disseminate knowledge of Supply Chain Management to the
individuals engaged in international trade. The training was held between 13
May 2025 to 15 May 2025. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Md. Abdur Razzak
(Additional Secretary), Chief Executive Officer (Additional Charge), Bangladesh
Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI). Mr. Ahsanul Islam, Joint Director, BFTI has
delivered the welcome remark to the participant of the training program
The
CEO of BFTI mentioned that, BFTI received has approval from the National Skill
Development Authority (NSDA) on April 18, 2024, to operate a Course
Accreditation and Assessment Center as a Skill Training Provider (STP) in
Supply Chain Management. Researches showed that a 5% reduction in supply chain
costs can double net profit, and merely 1% improvement in raw material inventory
management can increase a company's profits by up to 9.35%. He also mentioned
that, through the training, the participants will gain a clear comprehension
about supply chain management framework, procurement processes, Incoterms,
import-export operations, customs clearance, inventory and warehouse
management, and distribution management at local and global level.
The
training was conducted by renowned supply chain professionals of Bangladeshi
Conglomerates and Multi-National Corporations. A total of Sixteen (16)
participants (50% Public Sector and 50% private sector)
joined the training.
