BFTI conducted a study for the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) titled “Conducting Study to determine policy support and incentives (including subsidies) to be offered now and during post-LDC graduation for sustainable development of RMG export sector analyzing the mechanism and strategy of its closest competitor countries”. Through the study, a comparative analysis of the policy supports, direct and indirect incentive packages extended by the countries with that of Bangladesh was conducted to provide policy recommendations for the RMG sector. It is expected that the study will help the policy makers to formulate pragmatic policies in post-LDC graduation period for sustainable development of the RMG export sector. The report of the study was published in May 2023.
